Representatives of AEER and the Covenant of Mayors - Piotr Comarov, AEER Development Director and technical expert within the Covenant of Mayors, and Cristina Smolenschi, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Straseni - participated in the elaboration of a regional paper dedicated to climate vulnerability at local, national and regional level. 🔎 Written by 14 experts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, the paper emphasizes the importance of cross-border cooperation for reducing climate vulnerabilities. Successful practices in transboundary water governance between Ukraine and Moldova are presented as valuable lessons for the South Caucasus region.
🔹 "Regional cooperation is essential for managing transboundary resources and combating climate change. Our panel marks an important first step for engaging authorities", says Tanja Tamminen, Team Leader, EU4Dialogue.
