Piloting the Energy Management concept gives first results in #Lozova!

Following the analysis of the energy consumption of certain public objects on the territory of Lozova municipality, priority energy efficiency measures were proposed that will reduce the expenses on the electricity bill.

This has allowed the preparation of an investment plan for the implementation of energy efficiency measures and the use of renewable energy sources.
Thanks to the partners AEER and Green City Lab Moldova, the municipality has managed to attract investments from several funds, which will allow the construction of photovoltaic systems at:

Town hall building - 10 kW- GAL PLAIUL CODRILOR with financing from AIPA funds.
Water fountain - 17 kW DAR 1+3 BRD program
Lozova kindergarten - 10 kW through ESCO mechanism, within the Renewable Fund of AEER
Fire station - 6 kW SGP/GEF/UNDP project, implemented by AEER
Harnessing renewable resources to reduce CO2 emissions is a commitment that the municipality of Lozova made when it joined the Covenant of Mayors for Energy and Climate.

Petr Comarov, EEPR expert
"At the moment, the construction of the 10 kW photovoltaic system is taking place to reduce electricity consumption in the Town Hall building to 12 000 kW annually or about 36 000 lei saved annually. It is the first of four objects planned to be equipped with photovoltaic systems. The next of the four selected objects will be the local kindergarten, on whose roof a photovoltaic system will be installed.
The fire station will also benefit from a combined photovoltaic system with a capacity of 5 kW, a wind generator with a capacity of about 2 kW and a solar collector system for generating domestic hot water."

These measures are realized thanks to the project "Energy Management and Innovative Use of RES", supported and implemented by AEER in collaboration with Green City Lab Moldova and funded by the GEF - UNDP Small Grants Programme.
