TOWARDS GREEN, SUSTAINABLE, EFFECTIVE SCHOOLS!
Problems in the field of climate change, energy, environment are the main challenges facing humanity. To address these problems, laws, programs and international agreements are being adopted all over the world. One of such documents is the Declaration on Sustainable Development, by signing which the countries committed themselves to implement the Sustainable Development Agenda (SD) for the period up to 2030.
All countries and all stakeholders should act in partnership to realize this action plan, including the goals related to clean air, clean energy, clean water, adaptation to climate change.
In this context, each school in the Republic of Moldova can participate in achieving SD goals at the local level in order to competently manage natural resources (energy, fuel, water, etc.) and material and technical basis of the school (premises, equipment, territory, etc.), as well as to solve various related social and financial problems. An effective way to achieve SD goals is to assess, plan and implement actions to improve the environmental condition of the school.
